This is a pre-announcement of Call for Proposals of Research and Development Projects 2012-22. SCOLAR is an advisory committee of the Hong Kong Government for policies and research in language learning in Hong Kong. SCOLAR is now inviting academics of tertiary institutions specialized in teaching and/or research of language/language education to submit applications for research and development projects. The projects should aim at generating new knowledge or filling gaps for pedagogical applications in local context for supporting the implementation of various initiatives on Chinese (including Putonghua) and English language learning and teaching in local schools. Application details will be announced in late March 2020.

To help potential applicants obtain more information on the open call, SCOLAR will organize an Online Briefing Session. Details of the Briefing Session are as follows:
