Promoting Interdisciplinarity in Global Health Education

9:00am - 10:30am

Global health is “highly interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary within and beyond health sciences” (Koplan et al., 2009). It involves economics, engineering, law, public policy, social science, and so many more subjects. All these disciplines can make great contributions to global health. How can we promote global health to students majored in those non-health-science fields and help them find their place in global health? What kind of training can help us reach that goal? What do we expect from these training programs? It is time for us to think about and try to answer these questions. Please join us in this interactive session with faculty from around the world where we will discuss these challenges and identify possible solutions. This workshop is brought to you by the APRU Working Group on Global Health Education and Technology.
