**HKUST Dream Builder Funds is calling for HKUST full time current students to apply**

Administered by the HKUST Entrepreneurship Center (EC), the HKUST Dream Builder Funds includes the Yeung Wing Yee Entrepreneurs Fund (YWYEF)Entrepreneurship Acceleration Fund (EAF)U*STAR Award and Alumni Endowment Fund Student Start-up Grants (AEF), which are all aimed at supporting startup ideas, projects and business initiated and/or owned by HKUST members (students, alumni, faculty):

  • To support, in the form of funding/ award/ resources/ services, etc., for startups of different entrepreneurial stages in order to facilitate their ideation, development and acceleration;
  • To promote and engage HKUST members in cross-disciplinary collaboration to transform innovative ideas into concrete and value-added solutions for society; and
  • To foster an entrepreneurial culture among the HKUST community, cultivating and enhancing HKUST members’ entrepreneurial spirit, mindset, skills and potentials for the pursuit of entrepreneurial dreams.

Remarks: The main applicant of the above funds must be HKUST full time current student.

 

-- Brief info of HKUST Dream Builder Funds--

Yeung Wing Yee Entrepreneurs Fund (YWYEF) - for HKUST startups which are registered less than 1 year and HKUST students own at least 51% shares. Max. approved amount is HK$200,000/project.

 

Entrepreneurship Acceleration Fund (EAF) - for building startups and organizing activities related to entrepreneurship and innovation. Students who would participate in local or overseas exhibition or competition or would further develop projects awarded in external competition can apply for EAF Fast track. Max. approved amount is HK$15,000/project.

 

Alumni Endowment Fund Student Start-up Grants (AEF) - for kick-start the entrepreneurship journey. Max. approved amount is HK$10,000/project. This fund is supported by Alumni Development Office. 

 

U*STAR Award - for development of business plans based on University technologies and or research output. Max. approved amount is HK$40,000/project.
