When Children with Autism Become Adults

11:00am - 12:30pm
Online

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disorder affecting social behaviors, nonverbal communication, and social interactions. It is a spectrum that involves different severity of symptoms in individuals.

Symptoms o f ASD first appear at kids age. As a kind of developmental disorder, adults with autism face lifelong challenges. After the ongoing training on social skills and academic support throughout childhood, adults with autism may need more help rather than less in the world expecting them to be independent and mature. This workshop will help us understand autism in adulthood and what these young adults need.
