PROGRAM
The recorder has a history spanning across centuries, from the shrill medieval recorders, pipes and the versatile double-recorder, to the mellow consort of the Renaissance, and eventually their both elegant and vigorous descendants of the Baroque era.
In this concert, L’Artiste will bring you back to the golden times of these precious instruments.

ARTISTS
L’ Artiste
Established in 2013, L’Artiste specializes in performing music from the 12th to the 18th century. With intensive research and continuous refinement, the ensemble aims to introduce to the audience the beauty of the under-appreciated early music and unfamiliar musical instruments.
Since its establishment, L’Artiste has performed for thousands of music lovers in universities, museums, churches and local schools, including a collaboration project with the Shatin District Council and Shatin Arts Association, organising a spectacular event featuring Medieval and Renaissance music, dance and games in Shatin, the first of such kind ever presented in town. Overseas performances include a live TV show in Osaka, Japan in 2015, and the Macau Band Fair 2018. In 2017, L’Artiste was also invited to be the Artist-in-residence of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Centre for the Arts, presenting a series of concerts and workshops on campus.
