Cultural Buddy Program - Soul-Soothing Trip in Kowloon City

Cultural Buddy Program is organizing a series of cultural tours to give you a glance at the history and culture of Hong Kong. The Cultural Buddy Leaders will be your tour guide to introduce the special parts of Hong Kong and interesting information on the sightseeing spots to you!  

Chi Lin Nunnery is one of Hong Kong’s most relaxing and tranquil escapes. A Buddhist temple complex with an interesting history, it would thus be the perfect place to start our soul-soothing trip from. The complex also includes a series of temple halls, some of which contain gold, clay and wooden statues representing divinities such as the Sakyamuni Buddha and Bodhisattvas.

After enjoying a traditional Chinese Lunch, we will then head to exploring the streets of Kowloon Walled City – the former city of crime and corruption in 70’s, treading on the trails of the roads less travelled while learning about its unique architectural design and even more intriguing history behind.
