In this webinar, Mr. Shang will describe the law of the new economy with a case presentation of SenseTime. SenseTime is the largest unicorn of the world focusing on AI with a market value exceeding 10 billion USD. However, a mere six years ago, SenseTime was a very normal start-up company based in Science Park, Hong Kong. How did this company grow so fast? What is the perspecFve of SenseTime in the New Economy of AI and Internet of Things?

Mr. Hailong Shang

Mr. Hailong Shang is Co-founder and Managing Director of SenseTime Hong Kong, and he is responsible for the company’s overall strategic and overseas business. In particular, he leads the business for some of SenseTime’s fields of innovation, which include autonomous driving, smart retail, health industry, and remote sensing. With his keen insights as well as rich experience working on large-scale projects, overseas business management, and government relations and engagement at all levels, Mr. Hailong Shang has led the swift and successful development of SenseTime’s strategic and overseas business.

In addition to his post at SenseTime, Mr. Hailong Shang currently serves as vice director general of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Alliance and vice director general of the Shanghai AI Alliance, among other positions. Before joining SenseTime, Mr. Hailong Shang was the high-ranking Senior Vice President of China Unicom Global, overseeing its global B2B business. Furthermore, he has also served as the director of China Mobile Hong Kong’s government projects division as well as university lecturer. Mr. Hailong Shang holds a Master degree of Tsing Hua University.
